STT Systems – CYCLING 3DMA. The ultimate solution for 3D cycling analysis and bike fitting, based on optical motion capture. Collects real-time, full-body biomechanical data instantly – then we use the system to accurately measure the final bike adjustments in 3D, and (afterwards) hand a detailed, personalized report to the customer.

FEATURES

Full-body

From feet to shoulders. Left and right sides. Spine analysis with cervical and lumbar segments. Every joint on your body. Dynamic tracking of the bike geometry - Cycling 3DMA monitors the entire cyclist’s body in a one-time recording.

100 FPS (Frames per second)

Data is acquired, processed and displayed at a frame rate of 100 Hz/fps (frames per second): high enough to ensure a smooth interpolation even on the fastest pedaling cadences - For instance a cyclist pedalling at 120 rpm would register 50 ‘takes’ per crank cycle. And faster than any bike-fitting tools in the market. Considering the vast set of parameters calculated on each sample, this results in a colosal amount of data at your disposal.

Measuring the bike

The same motion capture technology can be used to accurately measure the bicycle after the fitting session.

Specific reports can be generated with a single click for ROAD, MTB, TRIATHLON and TIME TRIAL bikes:

True 3D: A full 360º view

Motion capture cameras track markers in 3D space which are used to reconstruct the actual body motion.

Precision & Accuracy

A well-calibrated system boasts millimetric precision and accuracy in marker tracking. Seamlessly detecting 1-2 mm marker shifts anywhere in the ‘capture volume’! In effect, we are terminating any mistakes that could happen when doing manual bike fitting.
